Roles at Treehouse

House Supervisor

The House Supervisor is a strong leader with excellent communication, organisation and time management skills. They manage a small team of Therapeutic Carers to ensure the smooth running of the household within an allocated budget.

Therapeutic Carer

Therapeutic Carers contribute to the home environment by supporting the development of each young person through education, activities and play. Reporting to the House Supervisor, they are also responsible for the running of the household.

Therapeutic Mentor

Our team of skilled and trained Therapeutic Mentors help participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in capacity building, mentoring, supporting independent living, social participation, community participation and transport.

Team Leader

Reporting to the NDIS Coordinator, the Team Leader is responsible for overseeing 5 - 6 NDIS clients and leading/managing a small team of Therapeutic Mentors assigned to those clients.

Selection Requirements

  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check, or being willing and eligible to obtain one prior to commencement

  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with young people/children (House Supervisor/Therapeutic Carer)

  • Experience with challenging behaviours (highly regarded)

  • Basic knowledge/understanding of trauma (highly regarded)

  • Knowledge of the out-of-home-care and residential care system (highly regarded)

Qualifications

  • Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate (Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work, etc.)
